What do you think of when you think of home fitness equipment? Treadmill? Elliptical? That thing which shakes? I can see the popularity of home equipment. The gym is a separate destination, crowded and often times smells of sweat and disinfectant. Home on the other hand is none of those things. But home lacks the equipment, so people buy stuff like the a Bowflex.
For me, I have my bike on a trainer, some weights and a mat. That’s it. But I’ve always said if I could have one thing, which a gym has, it would be a hack squat or a leg press. Well, now I have both. Say hello to my new (used) “Hoist Leg Press Hack Combo”.
This thing is sweet! I found it by chance. You see, every so often I snoop around on craigslist for leg machines. Never knowing what I’m truly looking for but always hoping and dreaming of something that would take my cycling to the next level. In my head, it was the only thing holding me back. Last week I came across the perfect machine and it was cheap.
I spent a weekend dismantling, moving (up and down stairs), and rebuilding this heavy piece of equipment. Ironically I couldn’t use it for a couple of days due to sore muscles, but once I did, I knew it was the right decision. My little home gym is now complete.
